ABOUT PAL WORKS
PAL Works is a collaborative uniting 20+ leading EdTech innovators, researchers, funders, and ecosystem enablers in India. At PAL Works, we believe every child in India should have access to proven, high-quality technology-enabled solutions which can transform education outcomes. With less than an hour per week per subject, Personalized Adaptive Learning (PAL) has shown to deliver 2–2.5X higher learning gains for students in government schools. It is already reaching approximately 4.5 million students today (about 2% of India’s student population) but the ambition is to grow this by 10 times over the next 5 years. This is not simply another program. It is a coordinated movement to ensure every child learns at their own pace and potential, supported by evidence-based technology.
Dalberg has played a key role from the start and serves as the Secretariat. Dalberg has shaped PAL Works’ strategy, designed its structure and collaboration mechanism, and convened and onboarded its members. Dalberg acts as the fuel across different working groups’ efforts to keep momentum going, and as a glue to hold the initiatives together and maximize synergies. Today, these member-led working groups have dedicated leads and diverse participants that co-create public goods, build awareness, and drive innovation for the product/program to gain greater traction amongst teachers.
In just the first half of this year, PAL Works has built extraordinary momentum: over 20 member organizations onboarded; strong inbound interest (1–2 inquiries every week); a high-profile public launch with nearly 150 leaders including from six state governments, NCERT, and major donors; and most importantly, active, member-led initiatives tackling systemic barriers to scale. With shared ownership, strong governance, and a growing network, PAL Works is already shaping the future of education in India. Learn more at: https://palworks.in.
