Typical qualifications for an Analyst:

IMPACTFUL PROJECTS ACROSS THE WORLD

Problem statement: A donor is considering investing INR 5 crore to improve access to government welfare benefits for low-income urban migrants in either your hometown or the city where your college is located (or nearest to). They have asked you to recommend an approach. While they would prefer a technology-led solution, they are open to alternatives. Evidence on effective approaches is limited, and they want measurable results within 24 months.
Guidance for what the slide should cover:
- Two most important barriers preventing low-income urban migrants from accessing government welfare benefits that you would address
- Two intervention options you would present (more than two will not be accepted)
- What additional information or evidence would help you determine which of the two interventions to recommend?
Your assignment will be assessed on:
- Problem framing: Identifying and defining the core challenges based on evidence and nuance.
- Critical thinking: Applying structured reasoning, sound judgement, and thoughtful prioritization to develop a compelling response
- Written communication: Presenting ideas clearly, concisely, and logically
